"Adopt a Building"  Volunteers help keep the buildings, grounds, furnishings and exhibits looking great!  Projects range from trimming the roses in our Chapel Garden to painting porches on our historic buildings. 

We host volunteer projects for groups and individuals on every day of the week...whenever it's convenient for you to volunteer, we want you here!  Bring your friends, work groups, teams, family to volunteer and help make Chestnut Square shine.  We’ll send out special announcements of work that needs a volunteer or group of volunteers.

Gardening Days

Weather permitting, we encourage volunteers with an interest in gardening and landscaping to help keep our lush gardens and grounds beautiful for the public.  Come join us, pull some weeks, trim bushes, lay down mulch, and remove or add plants around our historic buildings.

Come out every Tuesday or call to schedule a day.

Adopt a Building

As a volunteer you are assigned to one of our historic buildings to clean, make minor repairs, and store and organize supplies.  Projects range from assisting or decorating buildings for special events, researching the history of the building and sharing ideas with our curator.  This is a great way to help preserve our history!  Call for more information!
