The McKinney Farmers’ Market at Chestnut Square opens  on April 19, 2008 and runs through October 25th, 2008.  Local organic meat, dairy and produce vendors will offer their wares from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 P.M. every Saturday.  Dixie’s Store will be open with coffee and pastries and craft items for sale.  Come on down and enjoy an old time market…sometimes we’ll have special events and entertainment!  While not as diverse as the old Jockey Lot held in downtown McKinney during the mid 20th century, we’ll try to re-create the feel of the old market days. 

We offer old-fashioned entertainment on select Saturdays.  On Saturday, May 17, we'll have the Red River Dulcimer Club performing from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.  Bring a chair and sit a while to enjoy!  On May 24, enjoy Kate Moore's vocals.
